Golang Job Details
Vacancy : Site Reliability Engineer
Location : Bradley Stoke (north East Bristol), hybrid-remote with 1-2 days per week in the office.
Skills : AWS, Linux, Python or Go, Scripting (YAML, JSON, Bash etc), Ansible (or similar), Jenkins, Git, Docker, Monitoring (Datadog, Grafana etc)
Salary : £65,000 plus excellent benefits

Since their inception there has a been a huge demand of their products and services and the company has enjoyed consistent year on year growth.
About the Role :
You will be joining an established Site Reliability team who are fully embedded within the organisation and are responsible for providing and maintaining the development tools (CI/CD tool chain) On a day to day level you can expect to he heavily involved maintaining and enhancing existing CI/CD pipelines, managing the AWS environment and undertaking further automation where required. The team is forward thinking and constantly looking at new initiatives that will further enhance their ability to deliver better value to their customers.
Your Skills & Experience :
On the technical side you will need to have a high degree of competence with either Python or Golang as well as strong experience with AWS. You will be comfortable with Linux system administration and have as solid scripting experience (YAML, JSON, Bash and occasionally PowerShell is currently used by the team). Further, if you have hands on experience with Ansible (or similar), Jenkins, Docker, Git and have used one of the common Monitoring tools on the market this would be highly desirable. In terms of the not essential skills any experience with Kubernetes and EKS, Apache Tomcat, Database admin and Java/Node.js would be beneficial and gives you a flavour of where you will be able to further enhance your skill set in this role.
